We are experts of examining and treating those with neurological conditions, including but not limited to Parkinson’s disease, stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis and Guillain Barre Syndrome.
We realize family members play a big role in mobility of those with neurological conditions. If family is engaged in helping with mobility, we will observe and make sure assistance is being provided in a safe and effective manner for both the patient and the family.
Our main focus will always be on functional mobility. We will assess everyday movements such as walking, standing up from a chair, getting out of bed, that are becoming more difficult for you. Strength, flexibility, posture, and balance may need to be improved to enhance overall mobility. We will practice the actual tasks you are having trouble completing in a safe, fun manner.
Comprehensive balance tests will be provided to find the best approach to improving balance and preventing falls.
